Our Mission
- EconXStat is a firm dedicated to providing quality services in the field of economics and statistics, drawing on a network of internal and external experts. Our activities can be summed up in two main areas. On the one hand, we intervene in the professional world by providing consulting services in economics and statistics, while taking care to guarantee quality services. And on the other, to bring our modest contribution to the academic world, we also provide tutoring services to students, offering them close support to ensure their academic success.

Aboubacar Sani Bachir

Aboubacar Sani Bachir,
A doctoral student in economics at Université Laval in Quebec, I hold a master’s degree in econometrics from the Aix-Marseille school of economics, a master’s degree in statistics from Université Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar and a master’s degree in economic analysis and policy from Université Abdoul Moumouni in Niamey.
From a professional point of view, I have 5 years’ experience as Director of CESSE-ACA, a statistical consulting firm specializing in agricultural monitoring and evaluation.
My fields of research include health, education and welfare economics, applied econometrics and public policy evaluation.

Moubarak Moundou Megna
co-founder
Laval, Quebec. Originally from Cameroon, he holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Yaoundé I and a diploma in statistical engineering and economics from the Institut Sous-Régional de Statistique et d’Économie Appliquée.
His main research interests are theoretical modeling, dynamic models and environmental economics.
He specializes in environmental economics. He is interested in economic policy solutions to combat climate change. In particular, he has worked on carbon taxes and the adoption of less polluting goods by consumers who have consumption habits and are concerned about their environmental footprint. He has also worked on environmental policies to stimulate innovation in green goods, highlighting the role played by the carbon tax.

Horace Gninafon

Horace Gninafon is a doctoral student in economics at Université Laval. His research interests lie at the intersection of development economics, the economics of education and health, policy evaluation and issues related to the impact of income and natural shocks. In recent years, Horace has worked on several experimental and quasi-experimental studies in developing countries. His work has been published in journals such as Population and Development Review.

Blaise Boton
Partner
Blaise Boton is a doctoral student in economics at Laval University, Quebec. Originally from Benin, he holds a research Master’s degree in digital economics from Université Paris-Dauphine and a professional Master’s degree in economic analysis and international development, specializing in economic policy management, from CERDI-Université d’Auvergne.
His research interests include applied econometrics, labor economics and the digital economy.
On the professional front, Blaise has a dozen years’ experience working in governmental and international organizations in economic policy analysis and project-program monitoring and evaluation. Among other responsibilities, he has held the positions of Technical Advisor for Economics and Monitoring-Evaluation at the Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation (Swisscontact) in Benin, and Planner at the Monitoring-Evaluation Unit of Benin’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Communication.

Dr. Dieudonné Tamfutu Munsi

Dieudonné Tamfutu Munsi completed his Post-Doctoral Fellow in Emerging Disciplines, in the Departments of Management and Economics at Sobey School of Business since April 2022. He obtained his PhD in Economics at the University of Southern Denmark in Denmark. He received a Master of Arts and a Diploma in Economics from Louvain School of Economics at Université Catholique de Louvain, in Belgium, and a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from Université de Kinshasa in Democratic Republic of Congo.
Dr. Tamfutu Munsi’s research lies at the intersection of development economics, labor economics and health economics, but he is also interested in the economics of education and growth. His research generally focuses on estimating the causal effect of various policies or global events that affect the lives of people living in the developing world, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa.
